101 MEN

WE LIVE NEAR THE 101 AND ARE GROUNDED IN PSALM 101

Building up men who are
learning to walk in all of God’s authority.

101 Men is a ministry dedicated to empowering men to live out their God-given roles with strength, integrity, and purpose.

At SM4, we are committed to building up men who are not just surviving, but thriving spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We equip men to rise above the challenges of life by standing firm in God’s authority and aligning their lives with His Word.

The Power of "I Will"

As a man of God, when you say “I WILL,” you are making a spiritual stand. You are choosing to walk in authority, imposing God’s will on your circumstances, your relationships, and your spiritual battles. This isn’t about imposing your will on others, but rather standing firm against the schemes that hell sets against you, your family, and your friends. Psalm 101 serves as a guide for men in this journey, where King David lays out five powerful “I will” statements that we can frame our lives around.

1. I Will Worship the Lord

Psalm 101:1 I will sing of your love and justice, Lord. I will praise you with songs.

Worship is more than a song—it’s a way of life. As men, we are called to be leaders in worship, modeling a heart of devotion to God in everything we do. Psalm 101:1 reminds us that worship starts with gratitude and praise. When we worship the Lord with our whole heart, we set the tone for our homes, churches, and communities. Worshiping God isn't just a Sunday activity, but a daily practice that shapes the spiritual health of our lives and those around us.

2. I Will Live Blamelessly

Psalm 101:2–4 I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them. I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil.

In a world that often promotes compromise, living blamelessly is countercultural. Here, King David challenges men to live lives of integrity, pursuing holiness in their thoughts, actions, and relationships. As men of God, we are called to walk in blamelessness—not just when others are watching, but in the quiet places where our true character is formed. This blameless life protects not only ourselves but also our families, helping us build healthy homes grounded in God's truth.

3. I Will Not Tolerate Fools

Psalm 101:3, 5, 7 I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them. [5] I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride. [7] I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence.

King David’s declaration to not tolerate foolishness is a call to wisdom and discernment. As men, we are responsible for guarding our hearts and homes from influences that could lead us astray. This means being careful about the media we consume, the company we keep, and the choices we make. Surrounding ourselves with Godly counsel and avoiding sin and foolishness in all forms is crucial to living a life of purpose and protection for our loved ones.

4. I Will Have Faithful Friends

Psalm 101:6 I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.

The importance of community cannot be overstated. As men, we need faithful friends who will stand with us, encourage us, and hold us accountable. Psalm 101:6 highlights the value of surrounding ourselves with men of integrity. We are not meant to walk this journey alone. Godly friendships strengthen us and help us stay focused on our calling as husbands, fathers, and leaders in our homes. At SM4, we foster these friendships through regular gatherings and small groups where men can grow together in faith.

5. I Will Free Others

Psalm 101:8 Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the Lord.

Freedom in Christ isn’t just for us—it's something we are called to bring to others. As men who walk in God’s authority, we are called to fight for the freedom of those around us, standing against injustice, addiction, and spiritual oppression. Psalm 101:8 reminds us that we are not just leaders for our own sake but are called to set others free by standing on God’s truth. This applies to our roles as fathers, mentors, and friends, where our leadership can break chains and lead others into the freedom that Christ offers.

We are actively building a community of men committed to growing together in faith, strength, and spiritual health. Whether through our regular gatherings or small groups, we provide a space for men to be sharpened, encouraged, and empowered to lead healthy families and communities.
