It's open for (fun, laughter-filled) business!
Between Mother's Day and Father's Day 2017, the Santa Maria Foursquare Church raised over $28,000 to complete the funding for a new, beautiful Neighborhood Playground for our community. This project, with a total cost of nearly $140,000, is now open!
The Neighborhood Playground not only serves the many children of our church family, but ensures that the hundreds of kids in our neighborhood have a great place to play every day of the year!
See below for pictures of the process...
Thank you to the City of Santa Maria! We received a $10,000 grant for the Neighborhood Playground from the Recreation and Parks Commission — and we are very grateful! Pictured above is Councilmember, Etta Waterfield, presenting the grant on Mothers' Day, 2017.
Hundreds were present for the dedication of the Neighborhood Playground, on Sunday, July 16.
Jude 1:24 "Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling..."
Though construction took longer than anticipated, the Neighborhood Playground was ready for its Grand Opening on September 16, 2017, at our annual Fiesta!
